MESSAGE FROM THE COACH
Head Coach Zeph Odhiambo in his own words
Sifuyo Stars FC was founded in 2017 as an adult team but changed to a CYS club in 2018 to be incorporated into Ugenya Sports & Science Academy. All the children in our team attend the nearby Sifuyo Primary School. Through Ugenya Sports Academy, these children have an opportunity to develop and improve their soccer and social skills.
The Sports Academy has provided numerous opportunities for our children including external tournaments to sharpen the soccer skills.
Our major challenge has been from some parents not allowing their children to participate in this after-school program since they need these young people to help with farmwork or herd cows. Despite this, we are working with willing parents to give these young people the best prospects at success in life.
